Michael Trigg signed with the Cowboys after the completion of the 2026 NFL Draft as an undrafted free agent. Many believed him to be a mid-round draft prospect, but for whatever reason he never heard his name called. Trigg shining in training camp; could push Schoonmaker off roster if development continues.

The UDFA tight end signed with the Cowboys after the 2026 NFL Draft despite being viewed as a mid-round prospect. Trigg has been one of the more hyped rookies at training camp and has not disappointed, shining in multiple practices and making plays in team drills. If he continues to improve and earn coaching staff trust, he could push Luke Schoonmaker off the roster, as the Cowboys typically carry only three tight ends on the depth chart.
