Today McCarthy was near the high-end of the range of performance we've seen from him in training camp going back to last year. He looked sharp on most of his throws, but nearly all of them would be considered of the more routine variety. He did have a couple nice intermediate completions in team drills and looked more decisive on more of his short throws.

McCarthy had a sharp practice, operating near the high-end of his training camp performance range with decisive short throws and a couple of nice intermediate completions in team drills; he looked more comfortable in the pocket despite a couple misfires and sacks, and overall performed better than Kyler Murray on the day.
