Leonard, the backup quarterback, received more reps than Anthony Richardson during Day 8 red zone and two-minute drills in the backup QB battle. He opened his first team session with an impressive pass down the sideline to receiver Coleman Owen, layered a pass over cornerback Rob Carter Jr. to tight end Will Mallory for a 10-yard gain to move the chains, and commanded the second-unit offense to midfield in the final two-minute drill, completing three passes outside the numbers to Eli Pancol, Will Mallory, and Coleman Owen.
