Steelers signed WR Cornell Powell from the Chiefs practice squad as Week 3 training camp gets underway; Powell is a Clemson product drafted in the fifth round (2021) by Kansas City with 882 receiving yards and seven touchdowns in his final college season; he has appeared in just three NFL games, mostly on special teams, with no career catches; the 6'0, 204-pound receiver scored a 7.59 RAS pre-draft with a 4.53-second 40-yard dash and previously had a brief stint on Pittsburgh's practice squad in 2025.
