With multiple running backs sidelined, Khalil Herbert, who was brought in by the 49ers, is getting increased practice opportunities. Offensive Coordinator Klay Kubiak specifically mentioned Herbert as one of the guys 'giving guys opportunities to get better' and stated 'You talk about guys like Patrick Taylor, Sincere McCormick, Khalil [Herbert], who we brought in. Gives us a chance to give Deebo in there and get some touches. Anytime guys are out, it lets guys step up and get opportunities.'
