Ben Johnson said in early August that Burden is 'wired like an elite WR' and is destined to become one of the best, comparing him to Amon-Ra St. Brown and Jarvis Landry. As a rookie in 2025, Burden averaged 2.69 YPRR, No. 3 among all WRs with 200+ routes, ahead of St. Brown himself. His 24.8% TPRR was nearly identical to St. Brown's 25.0% mark in Johnson's final season with Detroit. Their route trees had a 0.98 cosine similarity, meaning they ran almost identical routes at nearly the same rates. Burden accomplished this with only a 43% route share.
