Hurts had more good than bad in practice. Highlights included an under-center play-action deep shot to Elijah Moore for a touchdown, a completion to Dontayvion Wicks along the left sideline to beat Riq Woolen, and a connection with Darius Cooper on a comeback to beat Woolen. Defensive coordinator Vic Fangio praised Hurts' camp performance, noting he looks faster and is doing a nice job with the new offense, which differs from his previous coordinators' schemes.
