Immediately after the 2025 NFL Draft, the Kansas City Chiefs agreed to terms with former Clemson tight end Jake Briningstool as an undrafted free agent. Briningstool reportedly secured $264,000 in guaranteed money... he suffered a hamstring injury that ended his summer early, and he was placed on the Reserve/Injured list at the final cutdown date... A year later, he seems to again be climbing the team's depth chart in his second training camp.

Briningstool climbing Chiefs depth chart in year two after missing rookie season to hamstring injury.

Undrafted free agent tight end signed by Kansas City Chiefs immediately after 2025 NFL Draft with $264,000 guaranteed; suffered hamstring injury in rookie camp before pads were put on and missed entire 2025 season on Reserve/Injured list. Now in second training camp and climbing depth chart further than rookie year; has already progressed further in the process and is competing with pads on after missing that opportunity as a rookie.
