Hurts started practice stronger than he finished it. Positive moments included a well-timed connection with Hollywood Brown along the left sideline, multiple hits to Darius Cooper, and a crossing route to Elijah Moore hit in stride for good YAC potential. However, Hurts had a relatively higher number of sacks and throwaways, threw an interception to Quinyon Mitchell on a target intended for Brown (didn't look like a good throw or decision), and took over 10 seconds to deliver a touchdown pass to Moore in the end zone late in a situational scenario—a delay that Nolan Smith vocalized about with colorful language, suggesting a real pass rush would've disallowed the score.
