Croskey-Merritt's crowded backfield and poor offensive line limit his fantasy ceiling.

Patrick Daugherty ranks Croskey-Merritt RB48 and fades him despite his talent as a between-the-tackles runner. He has too much to overcome to provide reliable FLEX value in 2026: he's a two-down back in one of the league's most crowded backfields, faces an awful offensive line that just lost its left tackle, and plays in an offense where the best overall runner is the quarterback. Although the Commanders should improve, it's not an elite offensive environment, keeping Croskey-Merritt just outside fantasy relevance.
