Altmyer has a real chance to win the backup quarterback job following Teddy Bridgewater's retirement. The undrafted rookie impressed before that news broke and has shown poise during situational drills, relative accuracy, and arm strength. Dan Campbell praised his handling of tough positions and mistakes as learning opportunities. He still needs to speed up his progressions, but that's expected for his age.
