Watson will start Saturday's preseason opener against the Bears, marking his first game action in nearly two years after suffering a non-contact Achilles rupture in Week 7 of the 2024 regular season followed by a re-tear during rehab that required second surgery in January 2025. Head coach Todd Monken plans for Watson to play approximately a half and get a two-minute drill situation. Watson has been a full participant in camp, trading first-team reps with Sanders against the Browns defense.
