Davis is in hot water for making the roster. The depth chart shows Javonte Williams as the top runner, followed by Jaydon Blue, then Phil Mafah. While Davis has more value on special teams than Mafah, Mafah is the more powerful, downhill mauler like Williams, and Blue has the second gear of speed that Davis almost has, making Davis' role redundant when factoring in Blue's explosiveness. Israel Abanikanda also poses a threat with his physical running style and very good speed. Things are looking murky for Davis.
