Bleeding Green Nation on Jalen Hurts
ArticleEagles News: Ty Robinson among players on the roster bubble
From the article
We expect to see Jalen Hurts operate from under center more often than he has in the past, which will be a major departure for him... The 28-year-old QB also showed up to camp looking notably leaner and quicker, which could make those option keepers more effective than they were a year ago.

Hurts leaner and under-center more; improved option-keeper potential with Barkley.
Under new coordinator Sean Mannion, Hurts is operating under center far more often than in recent seasons, a major departure from the Eagles' historical preference for keeping him in the gun. Mannion says the Eagles will 'lean into' Hurts's rushing ability. Hurts showed up to camp notably leaner and quicker, which could make option keepers more effective; historically, among QBs with at least 10 option keepers last season, Hurts had the lowest success rate. The faster version of Hurts should be more capable of burning defenses keyed in on Saquon Barkley, who led the NFL in EPA on read-option carries last season.
