I actually might prefer to keep Brady Cook as QB3 over Bailey Zappe at this point. I'm as shocked to be writing that as you are to be reading it. That tells you a lot about how bad this night was for Zappe... his decision making was all over the place, and his throws were labored.

Zappe's preseason performance was poor: two interceptions (one attributable to receiver Arian Smith), labored throws, and erratic decision-making. Source now prefers Brady Cook as QB3 over Zappe and notes Zappe started the night competing for QB2 but will need much better play in next two weeks to even be considered for QB3.
