Stribling was kept out of practice for several days and has only recently returned to full participation (about one week prior to the preseason game). The 49ers have had durability issues with recent early-pick rookies: Ricky Pearsall (2024) was in and out of the lineup in 2024, and Mykel Williams (2025) suffered a torn ACL in Week 9. Shanahan expressed hope that Stribling can stay healthy and string together two more weeks of reps to be ready for the season.
