Velus Jones Jr., cast off by the Chicago Bears after struggling as a receiver and returner with fumbles and drops, has seemingly reinvented himself as a 'Joker' type RB/WR hybrid who can also return kicks. While not an every-down back, his prior WR experience combined with his speed could make him a sneaky change-of-pace option. With the Seahawks running back room banged up (Jadarian Price, Emanuel Wilson, Jacardia Wright, and Zach Charbonnet all hurt), Velus has an avenue to crack the 53-man roster while other backs ahead of him are unavailable or have minimal preseason carries.
