Hurts' middle-of-field throw rate remains among NFL's lowest despite coordinator change.

Hurts is entering his sixth season with a different offensive coordinator, and his passing—particularly his willingness to attack the middle of the field—remains a subject of criticism. Per FantasyPtsData, his rate of throws over the middle of the field was 13.3% in 2024 (dead last of 39 QBs) and 16.3% in 2025 (35th of 36 QBs). On attempts less than 10 yards downfield over the middle of the field, he was at 6.1% in 2024 (38th of 39) and 6.6% in 2025 (32nd of 36). The Eagles' social media team also posted a video of Hurts throwing an interception in practice, raising questions about organizational dysfunction.
