Sanders showed good and bad in preseason; slow overall with nice throws but costly interception.

Backup QB Shedeur Sanders showed mixed preseason performance against mostly backups. He started the second half well with a couple of good throws including one where he drifted in the pocket through pressure, and had nice ball placement to Gage Larvadain on the sideline in a Cover-2 hole. However, everything felt slow overall including time in the huddle, and he threw an interception on an overthrow by about five yards, though the receiver (Malachi Corley) may have run the wrong depth. The source notes Deshaun Watson left the door wide-open for Sanders to run through next week.
