Martin continues to make a name for himself in the reserve battle, earning praise from coach Dan Campbell for his blocking, one-on-one catch ability, separation, and special teams impact. On Sunday with Jameson Williams absent, Martin rotated in at the first-team receiver spot and was part of the special teams starters on kick coverage and the top four at gunner on punt coverage. Martin credited his defensive back background (safety and corner) for giving him a physical edge on special teams, where effort and physicality determine success.
