Wolf Trelles-Heard is not eager to draft Brenton Strange despite his ascending trajectory and three-year, $48-million extension with Jacksonville. While Strange improved from Year 2 to Year 3 (upping targets, receptions, yards, and TDs) and averaged 9.8 fantasy points per game in 2025 (TE17 finish), Trelles-Heard sees too many mouths to feed in Jacksonville's passing attack to allow Strange to fully flourish. The Jaguars tied for fourth in rushing touchdowns last year (22) and brought in Chris Rodriguez Jr., a thumper for goal-line work, suggesting a run-first approach near the end zone. Additionally, the team has multiple pass-catchers competing for targets: Brian Thomas Jr. (expected bounce-back), Parker Washington (league-winner potential), Jakobi Meyers (high-floor PPR option), and Travis Hunter (No. 2 overall pick seeing WR time). At TE19 ADP, Strange doesn't cost much but lacks the target volume upside needed to justify a draft pick.
