Tanner McKee was better than Andy Dalton but still far from good in the Eagles-Ravens preseason game. In the backup quarterback competition, McKee and Dalton combined for eight drives that generated no points, 77 net yards, two first downs, seven punts, 31 rushing yards, 46 passing yards and no plays longer than 13 yards. McKee attributed the poor performance to execution issues, penalties, and playing behind the sticks, failing to separate himself from Dalton in the battle for the backup job.
