Early camp lead over Simpson faded; lowest PFF grade on offense in preseason.

Early training camp indications suggested Bennett was well ahead of rookie Ty Simpson, but that momentum faded in final days at Loyola Marymount and in the joint practice against Dallas. Bennett drew the lowest Pro Football Focus (PFF) grade on offense in Saturday's game and did little to impress. He needs to prove his struggles are temporary or could find himself looking for work within weeks.
