Hunter and Connors are the fastest running backs on the Rams' roster. Hunter broke an 11-yard outside run early but played sparingly. It will be tough for the Rams to keep four running backs on the 53-man roster, especially Hunter, who hasn't shown much through two years. Connors could be a more useful player given his skillset as a receiver. Hunter may not be competing with veteran Ronnie Rivers (who sat out the first preseason game, signaling he's already made the team) but rather with the sixth-string depth chart option.
