STACKED’s take
Pre-injury, Tyson impressed in camp and was positioned for immediate rookie impact with elite athleticism.
Jordyn Tyson had been impressing in training camp before his injury. The 6-foot-2, 203-pound wideout was expected to make an immediate impact in his rookie season for the Saints' receiving corps alongside Chris Olave and Devaughn Vele. At Arizona State, Tyson demonstrated explosive playmaking ability: in 2024 he caught 75 passes for 1,101 yards and 10 touchdowns during the team's College Football Playoff run. Yahoo Sports' Nate Tice ranked him No. 23 overall prospect pre-draft, noting he is 'explosive at the catch point' with 'ability to adjust for the football,' a 'reliable target' in the middle of the field and red zone, and capable of providing 'explosive plays' instantly for an NFL team.
