Hogs Haven on Eli Stowers

Stowers unremarkable in preseason debut; must maximize targets and blocking.

Eagles rookie tight end Eli Stowers started at tight end and played a handful of snaps in the first quarter of the preseason opener, lining up inline and in the slot while catching three short passes. He failed to look dynamic catching the football and only looked fine as a blocker. His role this year will require him to make the most out of his targets and provide solid run blocking. It was an unremarkable day for the talented rookie, though not a huge red flag given it is his first live NFL snaps with a roster that will not be starting in a few weeks.
