Reed executed cleanly on slot crosser; late on back-shoulder vertical in preseason.

On Dropback 2, Reed ran a crosser from the slot in a 3×1 Trips formation against man coverage. Love's read was to wait for Josh Whyle's defender to clear the middle, then fire to Reed in the middle, which Reed executed cleanly. On Dropback 5, Reed ran a vertical route against single-high safety coverage and was the correct read for Love's back-shoulder throw, but Reed didn't pick up the ball right away and drifted slightly, causing the ball to be knocked away. Christian Watson notes Reed was 'just a tick late on coming back to the ball' on that play.
