RB Khalil Herbert signed with the San Francisco 49ers at the beginning of August but was released after a couple of weeks of training camp and one preseason game where he had six carries for 18 yards, including nine yards after contact and one forced missed tackle. The Eagles previously had Herbert in for a tryout and may look to bring him back for additional RB depth amid injuries at the position.
