Niners Nation on George Kittle
From the article
George Kittle seems very optimistic. I've spent a lot of time with him, but he's not there yet. I don't know if he'll be ready for the first game. Heck, he tore that Achilles in the playoffs, so that might be too quick of a turnaround. It could be an issue for them offensively.
STACKED’s take
Mariucci doubts Kittle's Week 1 return from torn Achilles; recovery timeline uncertain.
Torn Achilles suffered in Wild Card playoff win over Philadelphia; Week 1 return timeline is ambitious and uncertain. Former 49ers head coach Steve Mariucci expressed doubt about Kittle's readiness, stating "George Kittle seems very optimistic. I've spent a lot of time with him, but he's not there yet. I don't know if he'll be ready for the first game. Heck, he tore that Achilles in the playoffs, so that might be too quick of a turnaround. It could be an issue for them offensively." Kittle has been seen running and cutting during training camp, but Mariucci noted concern about three different lower body injuries last year and uncertainty about playing all 16 games; long flight to Australia could force cautious management.
