49ers wide receiver Mike Evans exited Tuesday's joint practice early. He had his left foot/ankle initially wrapped in ice, according to multiple reports, but later had only his quad wrapped in an ice pack. "They just said he has some tightness, so we were just being smart, taking him out," 49ers coach Kyle Shanahan said.

Evans exits practice with quad tightness after recent strain recovery.

Evans exited Tuesday's joint practice early with tightness in his left quad, which was wrapped in an ice pack; he had previously strained his quadriceps on Aug. 1 and missed time until Aug. 15. Kyle Shanahan stated "I don't think it's anything worse" and expressed no current worry, but the recurring quad issue in a short window raises durability concerns heading into the season.
