Yahoo Sports NFL on Mitchell Tinsley
From the article
The problem is that Dohnte Meyers has arrived. The former CFL standout was one of the biggest stories of Cincinnati's preseason opener, producing four touches for 42 yards and adding an 11-yard punt return.
STACKED’s take
Meyers' emergence threatens Tinsley's roster spot in crowded receiver room.
Tinsley received a one-year extension through 2026 and entered camp competing for a larger role behind Ja'Marr Chase, Tee Higgins, and Andrei Iosivas. However, CFL standout Dohnte Meyers has emerged as a major threat, producing four touches for 42 yards and an 11-yard punt return in the preseason opener and appearing to lead the competition toward the back of the receiver room. With Chase, Higgins, Iosivas, and Charlie Jones considered safe, only two remaining spots exist. Tinsley is competing with Meyers and Colbie Young (a fourth-round draft pick likely to make the roster) for those jobs. Young had two catches for 28 yards and continues to show size and physicality. Tinsley's previous experience and 2025 regular season highlight-reel catches may not be enough if Meyers and Young continue to produce.
