Endries, a seventh-round draft pick, had an impressive preseason debut with three catches and a touchdown against Detroit while impressing the coaching staff with his blocking progress. He is competing for a spot in a very crowded tight end room that includes Mike Gesicki, Drew Sample, Erick All Jr., Tanner Hudson, and Cam Grandy. While the Bengals may opt to keep five tight ends, Endries has flashed in the passing game and his strong preseason performance has made him a legitimate contender for a roster spot.
