Altmyer splits snaps equally with Dobbs in preseason game two after early reps lead.

Rookie Luke Altmyer has been taking the majority of reps in practice, started the Lions' first preseason game, and played all but one series with the reserves during the scrimmage. Despite his early opportunities, the backup quarterback competition remains open, with Campbell describing Altmyer as "a young player, but he's promising." Altmyer will play equal amounts with Josh Dobbs in the Commanders game.
