49ers rookie RB made his NFL preseason debut after missing the first exhibition with an adductor strain; finished with 8 carries for 33 yards, showing decisiveness and physical running through the line. Kyle Shanahan said 'I was real happy with him' and praised his physical running, noting 'I thought he ran real physical. Would love to keep him in there a little bit longer, but with it being his second day back, I wanted to be smart with him.' Black's longest run of 9 yards came on second effort after nearly being stopped at the line.
