Love's forced increased passing volume and streamlined receiver room could drive top-15 finish despite recent underperfo
Love flashed tantalizing upside in 2023 with 4,159 yards and 32 touchdowns but has been frustrating the past two seasons, throwing for fewer than 3,400 yards with 25 or fewer touchdowns despite missing only two games each year. McKechnie argues contextual factors could drive improvement: Green Bay ranked bottom 3 in pass play rate in 2024 and bottom 5 last season, forcing the Packers to throw more with Josh Jacobs dealing with groin injury and suspension risk. Loss of Romeo Doubs and Dontayvion Wicks may be addition by subtraction, reducing receiver rotation bloat (previously seven receivers/tight ends) and allowing Love to focus on Christian Watson, Jayden Reed, Matthew Golden, and healthy Tucker Kraft. McKechnie doesn't call Love a league-winner but wouldn't be surprised if he significantly outperformed ADP and finished top 15 at the position.
