He is a very limited football player with only one career catch on a pass thrown 25-plus yards downfield, suggesting the Chiefs haven't dialed into deep-ball usage despite Patrick Mahomes' arm talent. Rice faces greater injury and off-the-field risk than most players; he's one more "knucklehead" move from potential release/suspension and required cleanup knee surgery in May from his 2024 LCL issue.
