Klubnik's backup audition less crisp than prior week; protection issues and penalties hamper performance.

Klubnik, the fourth-round pick with the inside track to being Smith's backup, was not as crisp as the prior week but faced constant pressure. He finished 10-for-14 for 75 yards, was sacked twice, and played five series without producing any points. He made some nice plays including a 16-yard scramble for a first down and a third-down pass to Isaiah Williams, but Williams fumbled. Klubnik also got flagged for an intentional grounding penalty when he threw the ball out of bounds with no receiver in the same zip code.
