Gabriel, selected in the third round of the 2025 NFL Draft, has quickly fallen behind on the Browns' depth chart and is now the third-string quarterback behind Deshaun Watson and fellow 2025 draftee Shedeur Sanders. The Browns also have sixth-round rookie Taylen Green on the roster, whose tantalizing combination of athleticism and arm strength could eventually develop into a threatening weapon. Gabriel doesn't have as high a ceiling as Green, which may incentivize Cleveland to keep Green over Gabriel. If Gabriel is traded or released, he could be a good fit for the Atlanta Falcons to reunite with former coach Kevin Stefanski as a third-string option, with the added benefit that Gabriel, Tua Tagovailoa, and Michael Penix Jr. are all lefties.
