Wide receiver Darius Cooper is competing for the Eagles' WR3 spot with Makai Lemon, with DeVonta Smith and Dontayvion Wicks locked in at WR1 and WR2. In the first preseason game against the Ravens, Cooper had 2 catches on 5 targets for 21 yards. He is expected to play against the Patriots on Saturday night and needs to improve on that performance to convince the Eagles' staff to consider starting him Week 1; if he fails to separate, Lemon will have a golden opportunity to claim the spot at the tail end of camp.
