Bennett appeared more confident in the Saints game than in his limited Kansas City appearance, when the Rams went three-and-out on his first series against many defensive starters. Against New Orleans, after an early false start penalty, Bennett threw two of his best passes on the next drive, including a diving 16-yard completion to Tyler Scott on fourth-and-one that McVay called 'an incredible throw and catch.' Bennett then led a 48-yard scoring drive with a one-yard scramble touchdown and followed with an eight-yard scramble for another touchdown, demonstrating improved rhythm and decision-making.
