Rookie quarterback Garrett Nussmeier did not face as many of Tampa Bay's starting players as Justin Fields did in the Week 2 preseason game, but he appears to play within the rhythm of the offense better than Fields. This was apparent during training camp as well. However, Nussmeier nearly threw an interception by forcing a throw over the middle at one point, so neither backup can be expected to be perfect in a one-off start.
