Achane is a polarizing early-round pick and 'do not draft' candidate despite a contract extension. His receiving production is highly dependent on Tua Tagovailoa: with Tua (8 games) he averaged 21.5 PPR pts/game with 6 targets; without Tua he averaged 10.5 PPR pts/game with 2.5 targets. Malik Willis, now QB1, targeted RBs on just 12.2% of attempts in his two 2025 starts (and 12.5% in 2024)—well below the Dolphins' 25.4% team target share. Mike Clay projects Achane as RB5 with 16% target share, but reducing to 13% (closer to Willis' rate) drops him to 279-271 points, joining nine other RBs before the next tier drop. Achane is also undersized (under 190 pounds), raising durability concerns if he sees season-high carries. The new offensive coordinator Bobby Slowik wants to establish the run (top-six rate last season), and while he designed screen passes and slot targets for Achane previously, Willis' scrambling tendency and weak offensive line (rookie guard Jonah Savaiinaea graded 14.1 PFF, dead last among guards) limit Achane's receiving upside.
