Browning got absolutely destroyed in preseason week 2, taking a practically uncontested sack on his second dropback that left him laid out and sent him into concussion protocol (which he cleared). He received another massive hit later in the game that created a forced fumble. He didn't look polished or precise enough to tamp down mounting hype surrounding Jalon Daniels, and the fact that he's having to answer questions about a quarterback competition despite signing a $1.3 million contract with $400k guaranteed is telling. He will need to look good against Jacksonville in joint practices and game action to inspire more confidence.
