Trautman, the Broncos tight end, welcomes the increased usage of motion in Webb's offense. Trautman told Yahoo Sports: 'The more time you have between breaking the huddle and the actual snap to just focus on who's the player, what's his tendencies, the better [the defense] will be. So if a defense is looking at a stagnant, no shifts, no motions, nothing, they're locked and loaded and it's pretty easy for their eyes because they're more reactionary. Now it's like shift-motion-set-hut and it's like, What's going on? And they might not fit their gaps as fast because they're trying to react to what you're doing. So it's really like you're in control.' The Broncos are expected to increase motion usage significantly from last year's 40.4% to align with Shanahan-McVay scheme teams that use motion on 62-68% of plays.
