Watson was the primary receiver on multiple dropbacks in Love's preseason Week 2 drive. On Dropback 1, Watson ran a play-action deep-out route but the timing was slightly off and Riley Moss broke up the pass; Watson could have done better attacking the ball. On Dropback 2, Watson ran a slant from the outside on a Dragon concept and got inside leverage on Pat Surtain II, with Love zipping a pass past the LB in the middle of the field. On Dropback 3, Watson ran the Sail route on a PA Boot. On Dropback 4, Watson ran a deep crossing route over Matthew Golden. On Dropback 6, Watson released to the flat under the formation on a PA Boot.
