Washington, a fourth-round rookie, draws attention for his combination of speed (4.33 40-yard dash) and ideal size (6-foot-1, 223 pounds), but it took until his fifth year in college to break out, losing significant snaps to Ron Cook at Buffalo and Seth McGowan at New Mexico State in prior years. If he was as gifted as his boosters suggest, he probably would have been drafted before pick 122.
