Okonkwo has built a strong rapport with quarterback Jayden Daniels in training camp and is positioned as a true sleeper tight end. JJ Zachariason notes that 34-year-old Zach Ertz finished as a TE1 in six games with Washington last year despite missing Daniels much of the season, suggesting significant upside for a featured tight end. Outside of Stefon Diggs and Terry McLaurin, Washington lacks a pass catcher with more than 31 receptions in a season (outside 2021 Van Jefferson), creating opportunity.
