Sanders is described as the closest thing Cleveland has to a future, but the Browns have benched him in favor of Watson, which does nothing to speed his development. Though Sanders was 3-4 as a starter in his rookie season with rough performances in the Browns' first two 2026 preseason games, he represents long-term potential that the franchise is squandering by keeping him on the bench.
