The running back was waived/injured after suffering an injury on the opening kickoff of Saturday's Eagles preseason game against the New England Patriots. Jackson was taken off the field in an ambulance and required a hospital visit, though he was able to travel back to Philadelphia with the team. Jackson was originally signed by the Eagles to provide depth during running back injuries in training camp.
