With TreVeyon Henderson leaving practice during an early 11-on-11 period, the Patriots could have moved one of their available backup running backs — Hassan Haskins or JaMycal Hasty — up to work with the starting offense. They opted to go a different route, and simply upped Stevenson's workload. Despite taking virtually every meaningful rep, the veteran looked very good.

With TreVeyon Henderson leaving practice early, Stevenson received virtually every meaningful rep with the starting offense and looked very good. He was particularly effective in simulated end-of-game situations, catching two passes including an impressive over-the-shoulder touchdown grab on a wheel route while covered tightly by linebacker Robert Spillane, demonstrating his value as both a ball-carrier and receiving option.
